Terms of Service

By downloading or using Luma you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Luma with a parent or guardian’s permission.

Luma asks you questions and uses your answers to write affirmation cards, reminder wording and short audio scripts, which it can read back to you in a synthetic voice — either a clone of your own voice, if you record one, or one of our stock voices.

The writing is produced by an AI model. It will not always be perfect, and it may occasionally produce something that does not land. You can delete anything you do not want.

This is the most important section on this page, so it is written plainly.

• Luma does not guarantee that anything you write about will happen. Affirmations are a practice, not a mechanism.
• Luma is not medical, psychological, psychiatric or therapeutic care, and is not a substitute for any of them.
• Luma is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice.
• Nothing in the app should delay you seeking help from a qualified professional.

If you are struggling with your mental health, please contact a doctor or a local crisis line. Luma is not built for that and cannot help you in an emergency.

You sign in with a third-party account and are responsible for keeping access to it secure. Tell us at support@lumamanifest.com if you believe someone else has got into your Luma account.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. It stops working immediately, and you have 30 days to sign back in and restore it before it is erased for good. Your voice recording is destroyed straight away and is not restorable. The deletion page sets out the detail.

Luma offers a free trial followed by an auto-renewing subscription, billed weekly or yearly. Exact prices are shown in the app before you confirm, in your local currency.

• Payment is charged to your Google Play or App Store account at confirmation.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel in your store account settings — deleting the Luma app does not cancel a subscription.
• If you are offered a free trial, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription.

Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their policies, not by us. We cannot issue a refund for a purchase we never processed.

Your answers remain yours. You give us permission to process them for the single purpose of producing and delivering your affirmations, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The cards, reminders and scripts Luma writes for you are yours to use personally, for as long as you like, including after you stop subscribing — though you will need a copy of them, since deleting your account removes ours.

Recording is optional and always your choice. If you record, you give us a limited permission to create a synthetic copy of your voice and use it for one thing only: speaking your own affirmations back to you.

• We do not use your voice to train models.
• We do not use your voice for anyone else's audio.
• We do not share, sell or publish it.
• You can withdraw this permission at any time by deleting your voice in the app, which removes the recording, the clone and everything generated from it.

You must only record your own voice. Do not record anyone else, and do not record someone impersonating another person.

You agree not to:

• Use Luma for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm anyone.
• Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the app or our servers.
• Resell, redistribute or commercially exploit the content Luma generates for you.
• Upload a voice recording you do not have the right to use.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why where we are able to.

The Luma app, its name, its design and the software behind it belong to us. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the app — nothing more.

We aim to keep Luma running, but we do not promise it will always be available or uninterrupted. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to save your content.

Luma is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Luma is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you take based on what the app writes.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case those parts do not apply to you.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Luma after that means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away rights you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
